"A Date with Miss Fortune" is a romantic comedy film featuring Jack, an author from different backgrounds and worldviews, meeting Maria who comes from another.
Jack is an unlucky romantic who finds love difficult. Maria, however, is full of life and close to her large Portuguese family; when the two meet by chance and begin falling for each other quickly sparks fly but soon their relationship begins to falter due to cultural differences as well as Maria's belief in fortune telling as her source for making important life decisions.
This film addresses themes of love, fate and overcoming obstacles with humor and light-heartedness. The main protagonists begin to learn to appreciate each other despite their differences as the narrative progresses.
