Bluey 2018
Bluey is an irrepressibly energetic six year-old Blue Heeler dog who takes great joy in turning everyday family life into extraordinary adventures by playing, developing her imagination as well as physical, mental and emotional resilience.
Bluey and Bingo, two six-year-old sisters living in Brisbane's western suburbs, lead imaginative games led by her fictional six-year-old counterpart Bluey, while Bandit and Chilli offer unwavering patience when hearing familiar wails such as: "Play With Us! or Again!". These characters' animated presence has won their creators both Logie Awards and Emmy nominations while inspiring joy whenever their memorable theme song plays over a loungeroom television screen.
Bluey is an Australian animated television series produced by Ludo Studio for Australian Broadcasting Corporation with primary production investments from BBC Studios, ABC and Screen Australia.
Bluey was developed and produced with assistance from Screen Queensland. Since launching on Disney Junior in October 2019, according to data provided by US broadcaster. That total includes viewers for live broadcasts as well as replays within seven days of each original airing.
Bluey was released globally on Disney+ on 22 January 2020 and its international distributor BBC Studios plans on rolling it out across multiple European and Asian territories after Disney has held their exclusive window for it.
