Lucis and Niflheim had long been at war. A peace treaty is signed and as part of it Noctis is set to marry Lunafreya from an enemy nation whom Noctis captured and took prisoner during battles between their countries.
Noctis and his friends embark on an adventurous road trip in order to attend Noctis' wedding, facing many trials along the way and strengthening their bonds along the way.
