Marnie, a young witch, and Aggie must once more face down a powerful magical threat posed by Kalabar's son who seeks vengeance against Marnie for defeat of their father Kalabar.
Marnie begins trying to impress Kal, an attractive but new boy at her school, but accidentally divulges some family information regarding Halloweentown that can only help him. Kal makes use of Aggie's spellbook he stole before traveling back home with it in hand in order to turn Halloweentown into a dull place full of colorlessness and darkness.
Marnie and Aggie must join forces in order to foil Kal and save Halloweentown from destruction. Along the way they face many difficulties such as deciphering his plans and finding ways to oppose him before it's too late.
