Katrina (better known by her nickname of HellKat) was once an MMA fighter; after suffering several losses she is struggling to reestablish herself as she search for answers on how best to move forward with life.
One night she meets an intriguing stranger who offers her an opportunity to regain her strength. He takes her into a hidden realm where they must engage in brutal fights against otherworldly opponents in an epic series of combat tournaments.
As she battles her way through the tournament, Katrina begins to discover more of herself and the threats surrounding her situation. Not only must she face physical obstacles but she must also confront internal demons if she hopes to survive.
Critics of this film have noted its slow pace and underdeveloped characters; on the other hand, its fight choreography and unique mix of genres has received praise.
