Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite follows Gotham City billionaire Bruce Wayne after being awarded "Man of the Year," setting Lex Luthor into an uproarious state and spurring on an attempt at becoming President.
Luthor plans on accomplishing his objective by liberating Joker from Arkham Asylum, then teaming with him. Together they use special guns designed by Joker to cause chaos throughout Gotham by freeing other villains who had been jailed, while simultaneously unleashing them onto Gotham streets and unleashing more chaos-spewing terrorists into society.
Batman attempts to stop them alone at first but eventually realizes he needs help and joins forces with Superman and the Justice League in an alliance to defeat this dubious duo.
Along the journey there are both humorous moments and exciting action sequences, all exploring themes such as teamwork, friendship and surmounting challenges.
