"Mixed by Erry" is an accurate yet fictionalized account of real events that transpired during Naples, Italy during the late 70s and 1980s. It tells the tale of three brothers named Enrico, Peppe and Angelo living together in an underprivileged area in Naples.
Enrico (Erry), has an undying passion for music and dreams of becoming a DJ. To demonstrate his abilities at mixing songs of different genres together seamlessly, Erry creates custom mixtapes for friends and customers as he shows his skill at mixing different songs seamlessly together. Realizing how popular his mixestapes have become with customers and friends alike, Enrico decides to expand his operation further and soon gets involved with bootleg recordings - as an unexpected by-product.
At first, their success draws unwanted notice from both authorities and mafia figures in the area, which requires them to navigate this world while remaining true to themselves and each other as brothers.
This film addresses themes of family, ambition and the changing music industry in an engaging yet entertaining fashion, delving deep into morally gray situations within it all.
