"Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire" tells the tale of two siblings - Chelsea and Adam - desperate to escape from home during an evening in their newly divorced parent Lynette's absence. To give themselves an excuse to escape they devise an elaborate scheme in which Lynette agrees to go out on an informal date in hopes that this might give them an opening to leave early without detection by mom Lynette herself.
Through an online ad, they pair Lynette up with Dimitri, a charming but mysterious stranger whom Taylor becomes suspicious of because of his peculiar behaviour on their date. Taylor suspects Dimitri of being Vampire-Related but his siblings ignore his beliefs at first.
As the story develops, Dimitri and his siblings must band together to discover his secret while protecting their mother from possible danger. With humor and suspense elements mixed in for added drama and family dynamics aplenty, this movie makes an engaging viewing experience for younger audiences.
