Quill, an adorable yellow Labrador retriever puppy, embarks on his path towards becoming a guide dog during this film. Through its various stages of training and unique relationships with those involved in his transformation.
Quill was chosen because of a distinctive marking at birth to be trained as a guide dog. After leaving his litter and living with an attentive couple for one year, basic obedience training and socialization lessons began for Quill.
Quill arrives at an intensive training center where he receives specific guidance in becoming a guide dog, including learning the necessary skills such as traversing obstacles and following commands as well as making independent decisions to safeguard his future partner's wellbeing.
Quill was initially resistant to having to depend on guide dogs; over time however, as Mitsuru learned more to trust Quill, their relationship blossomed, creating an everlasting and profoundly emotional bond between the pair.
Their journey brings unexpected obstacles, forcing Quill to use his training and intuition in order to overcome them. The film explores themes such as trust, companionship and the extraordinary link between people and animals.
