"Thor: Ragnarok" follows Thor, Asgardian god of thunder and warrior, when he finds himself imprisoned on Sakaar planet without Mjolnir or any powers associated with Asgard, forcing him to engage in gladiatorial combat against one of his former allies -- Hulk -- for survival in gladiatoric contests against former friends such as himself and Hulk.

Loki, Thor's mischievous adopted brother, has taken control of Asgard and released Hela from her prison confinement, where she plans on fulfilling Ragnarok prophecies that foretell its destruction.

Thor successfully escapes Sakaar with help from Valkyrie (an Asgardian warrior in disgrace) and Korg (a Kronan gladiator). Together they return home in time to confront Hela and stop Ragnarok from occurring.

This movie offers action, adventure and humor with its colorful cast of characters; while exploring themes such as family, redemption and sacrifice.
