Kyle is known to be extraordinarily lucky, yet his family remains secretive about their background. For a school project, Kyle embarks on his search into his roots and uncovers Irish ancestry thanks to a lucky gold coin he always keeps with him.
Feeling drawn, Kyle attends an Irish festival with his friend Russell and finds himself drawn into an irresistibly engaging dance performance, only to be mysteriously knocked over by an unsuspecting leprechaun named Seamus McTiernan!
As it turns out, Kyle's luck wasn't random after all: the coin in question is an ancient family heirloom that Seamus, an unfriendly leprechaun is hot on tracking down.
Kyle finds his luck drastically diminish after losing the coin is taken, leading him into further despair and eventually to discover shocking news: His mother is actually a leprechaun and so too are his descendants!
Kyle must find a way to retrieve his coin back from Seamus with help from family and Russell. Their adventure takes them across Ireland into its magical version where they compete in traditional Gaelic sports to regain it back.
Kyle realizes that true luck doesn't only come with winning; true fortune lies in hard work, friendship and respecting one's heritage.
